Semiconductor companies Applied Materials and Intel are working together to accelerate the development of next-generation transistors, interconnect technology and advanced chip packaging for AI.
The work covers advanced logic nodes and Foveros-based 3D stacking with higher interconnect density, improved power delivery and thermal management.
The collaboration is being conducted at Applied Materials’ EPIC Center in Silicon Valley and Intel’s R&D facility in Oregon, USA.
