French AI company Mistral is launching the new Mistral Large 4 model, also known as Le Chonk, which according to the company outperforms certain Chinese “open-weights” models. Reuters reports.
CEO Arthur Mensch says that the model performs better in areas including cybersecurity, without providing further details.
Mistral Large 4 will be fully released on October 27, while selected cybersecurity experts and authorities will receive early access to a version with fewer safety restrictions.
