Sweden will send an air defence system to Poland, Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) said at a press conference.
SVT writes that the mission of the Swedish unit is to protect a military base near the Russian border against hostile missiles.
It is the Patriot system that Sweden has decided to send.
Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard (M) said at the same conference that it is part of Sweden’s contribution to NATO.
According to Defence Minister Pål Jonsson (M), around 100 people from the Swedish Armed Forces will be part of the Swedish contribution.
