Fish farming giant Bakkafrost had a total harvest volume of 27,600 tonnes of fish in the third quarter of 2026, which was 6.1 percent higher than Bloomberg’s estimate of 26,001 tonnes.
In the Faroe Islands, the harvest volume amounted to 23,100 tonnes and in Scotland to 4,500 tonnes. The average harvest weight was 5.0 and 3.0 kilograms, respectively.
The preliminary extraordinary costs related to fish mortality in farming operations in Scotland amounted to 42 million Danish kronor. In the Faroe Islands, the corresponding cost was zero.
