Chinese AI company Moonshot AI has completed its final private funding round at a valuation of around $50 billion and is preparing for a Hong Kong listing in the first quarter of next year. Bloomberg News reports, citing sources.
The company could raise up to $5 billion in the listing and is expected to begin exploratory meetings with investors as early as this month. At the same time, the timing of the listing could still change, partly in light of increased regulatory scrutiny of China’s AI sector.
Moonshot AI has grown rapidly following the launch of the open AI model Kimi K3 in July. In an earlier funding round this summer, the company was valued at $31.5 billion.
Moonshot’s annual recurring revenue, ARR, is expected according to sources to increase from around $1 billion today to $2 billion in December.
Moonshot has not provided a comment.
