Danish Crown is making a comprehensive organizational change aimed at strengthening competitiveness, increasing the degree of processing and streamlining operations.
Seven of the group’s eight business units, including Sokołów, Beef, Foods and KLS, are being integrated into a common organization with shared production, sales and product development. DAT-Schaub will continue as an independent business unit.
At the same time, Danish Crown will reduce its global focus in favor of Europe and six defined core markets. The aim is to increase the share of owner-supplied meat that is processed from approximately 25 percent to 50 percent by the end of 2030.
Current roles as managing director of the business units are being phased out and group executive management is being expanded. The new organization is expected to be fully operational within six months. The company is also targeting fewer and stronger brands, as well as becoming the cost leader in the European market.
