Paramount CEO David Ellison has asked CNN CEO Mark Thompson to continue leading the news channel after the acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery has been completed, according to the Wall Street Journal.
They have discussed a new agreement in recent weeks, but have not yet reached agreement on the terms. Thompson’s current contract runs until the beginning of next year.
