GM’s US sales fell 5.5 percent in the third quarter

US automaker General Motors sold 670,974 new vehicles in the US during the third quarter, a decrease of 5.5 percent from the year before.

Sales of fully electric models declined broadly. GM also has a limited hybrid lineup, which analysts say could weigh on sales as high fuel prices boost demand for hybrids.
