The Trump administration has slowed export licenses for aircraft parts to China and is considering further restrictions, according to Reuters sources.
The aim is to strengthen the US position in trade negotiations, where Washington among other things wants to secure access to Chinese rare earth metals. The US has also limited the quantity of parts that may be exported to state-owned aircraft manufacturer Comac to prevent inventory buildup.
