Finansinspektionen lowers SEB’s Pillar 2 requirement

Following its annual review and evaluation, Finansinspektionen has decided on a specific own funds requirement, P2R, of 2.0 percent for SEB at group level. This is stated in a press release.

Of the requirement, at least 1.4 percent must be met with Common Equity Tier 1 capital. This compares with a P2R of 2.1 percent, of which at least 1.5 percent was Common Equity Tier 1 capital, in last year’s decision.

The Pillar 2 guidance, P2G, remains unchanged at 0.5 percent of the group’s total risk exposure amount and 0.15 percent of the leverage ratio exposure measure. The specific liquidity requirements for significant currencies also remain unchanged.

The decision applies from 30 September 2026.
