Defense technology company L3Harris has secured a seven-year contract from Lockheed Martin worth more than 6 billion dollars, excluding price adjustments, to significantly increase production of propulsion systems for the THAAD air defense system.
The company will build a new rocket motor plant and expand other THAAD capacity.
The agreement follows earlier plans to quadruple production.
