The total number of active oil and gas rigs in Canada increased during the latest reporting week. This is shown by weekly figures from Houston-based oil services company Baker Hughes.
The total number of oil and gas rigs amounted to 208, compared with 197 the previous week.
There were 145 oil rigs, compared with 134 the previous week. The number of gas rigs amounted to 62 (62).
