German automotive giant Volkswagen is recalling just over 2.1 million cars globally due to steering problems. Auto Motor und Sport reports.
According to Germany’s Federal Motor Transport Authority KBA, fastening bolts in the steering system may rust and break, which in the worst-case scenario could make the car impossible to steer, TT reports.
The recall includes, among others, the Golf, Tiguan, Touran and Caddy manufactured between 2013 and 2024. Around 900,000 vehicles are affected in Germany.
The group company Audi is also reported to have had similar problems with the Q3, affecting around 700,000 cars.
