Japanese automotive giant Suzuki is presenting a ten-year technology strategy focused on lower energy consumption and faster product development.
By 2030, development time for new vehicles is to be halved, while development efficiency is improved by 30 percent and production efficiency by 50 percent.
The strategy includes increased digitalization, modular development and technology adapted to the conditions of different markets. Suzuki will develop, among other things, series hybrids, a new hybrid system, direct-injection turbo engines and software-defined vehicles.
India is also to be strengthened as a production and export hub. The goal is annual production capacity of around 4 million vehicles from fiscal year 2030 onward.
