EQT looks to sell stake in Parques Reunidos worth 1.7 billion euros – Expansion

Private equity firm EQT is preparing to sell its controlling stake in Spanish amusement park operator Parques Reunidos. Business newspaper Expansion reports this, citing market sources.

EQT has hired JP Morgan to assist with the sale. The stake is valued at around 1.7 billion euros, according to the reports.

EQT owns 51 percent of Parques Reunidos, while Corporacion Financiera Alba and Belgian Groupe Bruxelles Lambert own 25 and 23 percent, respectively.

Parques Reunidos operates a large number of amusement parks, zoos and water parks across Europe. EQT and Parques Reunidos have not commented on the reports.
