On May 10 Finwire checked out from the news desk to participate in the annual chess tournament with Näringslivet möter förorten. The tournament is an integration-promoting initiative where young people from socio-economically vulnerable areas meet representatives from the business community to play chess – and the kids really impressed.
“The kids were really good, we didn’t stand a chance” Joels, Rikards and Fredriks comment after the tournament.
Finwire has participated in the tournament on several previous occasions and is happy to be part of initiatives that promote social sustainability in Gothenburg – it was less fun, however, to lose – revenge next year!
