The tenth edition of Life Science Day took place yesterday, bringing together representatives from the industry, academia and the investment community to discuss innovation, developments and future prospects within the life science sector.
The event opened with remarks from Leif Johansson, former chairman of Astra Zeneca, who see significant opportunities ahead for the sector in the coming decades — not only from a patient and healthcare perspective, but also for investors.
Throughout the day, several companies presented their ongoing work and development programs, covering areas such as new treatment approaches, medical technology innovations and advances within biotechnology.
Entrepreneur Erik Gatenholm also participated in the program, sharing insights from his time at Bico Group as well as his outlook on the future of the life science field.
Life Science Day was organized in collaboration with GU Ventures, Mats Ekberg and Sahlgrenska Academy at the University of Gothenburg.
